How to Apply for SFNS Post-Secondary Funding
Starting an application:
The Southern First Nations Secretariat Post-Secondary Department no longer accepts paper applications for Post-Secondary Student Assistance. All applications must be submitted online through the Outcomes Student Information System Portal. If you require assistance, please contact _____________________.

Application Instructions:
- Complete the required fields on the online application form.
- Download and complete applicable documents located in the "Documents" section of the online application form. If you are a member of the Munsee-Delaware Nation, Chippewas of Kettle & Stony Point First Nation, or Oneida of the Thames First Nation you will only need to complete the SFNS PSE Student Contract and the SFNS Information Authorization Form (disregard the other forms listed).
- Submit the online funding application by clicking the "Submit Application" button.
Required Documents
To complete your funding application, you will need to submit the following documents:
- Submit a verified copy of your OSSD/GED/ACE Certificate (High school students may still apply for funding but must submit a copy of OSSD/GED/ACE prior to receiving funding)
- Letter of acceptance (You do not need to have acceptance to an institution prior to application).
- Verification of enrolment including your name, program name, term, and student number.
- Status Card (front and back) or a letter from your First Nation Membership Clerk verifying your ten-digit status card number.
- Direct deposit form / void cheque from Canadian banking institutions only. ( No hand-written deposit forms will be accepted).

- SFNS Information Authorization Form
You submitted your application, now what?
Once your application has been submitted, it will be reviewed and a decision communicated within 30 days of the deadline established for each session.
Example: If you are applying for funding for a program with a September start, your application deadline is May 1st. The Post-Secondary team will review your application for funding and communicate their decision to you by May 31st at the last known address you provided.
