Aanii - Hello in Anishinaabemwin

The Deshkan Ziibiing, commonly known as Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, is a Anishinaabeg community. They originally migrated to the Great Lakes area from the north-eastern region of North America and established a community in 1760 along the north-west banks of the Thames River. Which can be found approximately 20 Km from London, Ontario.
Deshkan Ziibiing, pronounced Desh-Kan-Zee-Bing, means “people along the antlered river.”
